We've always suspected that the Rubber Duck had royal blood. Now he's wearing a gold crown to prove it. The Royal Duck is made out of all-natural latex rubber, which can be cleaned by gently by wiping with a sponge or cloth using warm water and a small amount of mild soap. An environment-friendly alternative to soap is to use a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water, which also prevents soap or detergent residues on the toys. If you dislike the smell of vinegar you can substitute strained lemon juice. Keep your Royal Duck out of direct sunlight to avoid having it dry out and become brittle over time. Many bath toys are made with Phthalates, a class of chemicals that are used to plasticize toys. These chemicals have been linked to cancer, hormone disruption, kidney and liver damage and asthma. Bisphenol-A (BPA), another hormone-disrupting chemical is also found in plastic toys. Because they remain freely mobile in plastic, phthalates are ingestible and leachable when children squeeze and gnaw on them. This has led some experts to recommend using no vinyl at all in the bath. Royal ducks are a great alternative to plastic bath toys. Royal Duck is designed for kids ages 3+ years old. Our duck can't swim. We believe his crown is too heavy and makes him drawn. But seriously, I only bought this product because it was advertised as Phthalates or BPA free but I mean come on, swimming is a basic skill every rubber ducky should have! Since our ducky can't swim, we sing to our baby girl about the ducky at bath time. The song goes something like this: My name is king ducky, king ducky and my crown is too heavy, too heavy so I can not swim, can not swim. I come from Spanish union labor and I was pretty expensive but I still can't swim, still can't swim....

Emotions and thrills of My Shoe Rack ... No Really

Have a lot of shoes? Well, I have a lot of them. In fact, I have more than enough shoes I need, and my husband often reminds me every day. The problem is that I do not know where I put my shoes. As a result, someone would often stumble in the night. Not that I'm lazy, just that there are so many of them. I believe that my shoes have been a representative of workers' and decided to take over the family. You can take outhelp, because I do not mean to remember some of them. I suspect that they are organized, and are preparing to attack. They must stand at the center of the floor on purpose so that someone is hurt. I also tried to use a shoe rack to keep them under control, but this plan has not worked.

The first shoe rack that I had tried a shelf rather short. I bought them because they said shoe on the ground. 've Been hearing the complaints from my husband, tired, and heIt was not my rebellion, my story. So, I dutifully put some of my shoes on the rack and put the others who do not wear very often in the cupboard. However, the shoes were strewn around the house again before the end of the week. Only one pair was left shoe, and they were not even shoes. This experience convinced me that there are other external forces at work in my house.

I love this rattle. I'm not sure what sound you would expect from the rattle besides the same sound every other rattle makes, but this gets my babies attention, unlike the previous reveiwer. What I love most about it is the soft plush texture. I don't have to worry about baby boinking his little head. The only complaint I have is that is was a little big for his 9 week old hands at first, but that didn't last long. Overall good product that I would definitely recommend.

This is NOT the best rattle-The descriptor, "Soothing sounds and bold colors will fascinate baby for hours on end", gives one the feeling that you are getting a different rattle. It makes a REGULAR rattle sound that my baby didn't much care for. I even called Manhattan Toy to see if I got a broken rattle--not the case, as I so wished. Save your money folks!

Outside Christmas Decorations For the Holidays

Christmas decorations should not stop with the indoor variety. If you can, you should do some outdoor decorating as well. It makes your neighborhood look nice. It gives your neighbors, as well as passer by's something nice to look at, it gives you a reason to be proud and it is just plain fun decorating.

You really do not have to spend tons of money, either. You don't have to decorate every corner of your house. If you just decorate part of your house, say your front porch and the rest of the front area, it can be enough decorating. Of course, if you have the extra money or if you find some great deals on decorations, there is nothing wrong with decorating your entire front yard and your entire house.

As with any project, as you begin thinking about decorating and forming your plans, begin with paper and pen. Make a list of what you need. You may even want to go through your decorations you all ready have. Many items will last for many years, if you take care of them properly.

After you gather your products, remember one vital thing, not all decorations are made for the outside. Look at the attached tags and make sure all lights and all other electric items are actually made for the outdoors. If the item is an indoor decoration, do not use it. Indoor decorations are not made for the outside climate. They are not made for moisture and are a fire hazard. You don't want a fire to ruin your holiday season or anybody else's. You also should examine all plug ins. They need to be in good shape and all wires should be in good shape, no frays or cuts in them. If you see a cut, throw away the product. You may be tempted to tape it up with electrical tape. Resist the urge. Moisture could still get inside and a fire could occur.

Be sure to add outside lights to your list. It doesn't matter what style you use. They can be rope style, bigger, older, looking style lights or twinkling lights. Before you go to the bother of hanging them up, be sure they all actually work and that they blink, if they are suppose to blink. Do this before you start climbing that ladder. Speaking of ladders, make sure it is safe and securely positioned on the ground before climbing. Now begin placing the lights in all those wonderful places. You can buy special clips or you can make your own holders using nails and strong rope. Hang them in any way that you like best.

Finally, do not forget to decorate your porch a bit. String some garland on the porch banisters. Hang a pretty wreath from your front door. Place an outside Santa or Snowman in your yard. Then stand back and enjoy your final creation, your own festive look, with your own Outside Christmas Decorations.
