Royal Rubber Duck Bath Toy - Natural Latex Rubber - No Phthalates or BPA Review

I spend a lot of time looking at rubber ducks; it's my job. I'm a rubber ducky retail buyer. I own this duck. I've handled this duck dozens of times and I have to say that, for a duck, it's a good, safe choice. Young children like to put ducks in their mouths. Duck butts go straight in, without a second thought. If you are concerned about BPAs, then this duck and his little gang of friends are a more natural choice. He doesn't float upright, it isn't advertised as such and, in fact, most rubber ducks on the market don't float upright;they float on their side. In order to float, they need a weighted bottom. That's just the way it is.

Royal Rubber Duck Bath Toy - Natural Latex Rubber - No Phthalates or BPA Feature

Royal Rubber Duck Bath Toy - Natural Latex Rubber - No Phthalates or BPA Overview

We've always suspected that the Rubber Duck had royal blood. Now he's wearing a gold crown to prove it. The Royal Duck is made out of all-natural latex rubber, which can be cleaned by gently by wiping with a sponge or cloth using warm water and a small amount of mild soap. An environment-friendly alternative to soap is to use a solution of 1 part white vinegar to 3 parts water, which also prevents soap or detergent residues on the toys. If you dislike the smell of vinegar you can substitute strained lemon juice. Keep your Royal Duck out of direct sunlight to avoid having it dry out and become brittle over time. Many bath toys are made with Phthalates, a class of chemicals that are used to plasticize toys. These chemicals have been linked to cancer, hormone disruption, kidney and liver damage and asthma. Bisphenol-A (BPA), another hormone-disrupting chemical is also found in plastic toys. Because they remain freely mobile in plastic, phthalates are ingestible and leachable when children squeeze and gnaw on them. This has led some experts to recommend using no vinyl at all in the bath. Royal ducks are a great alternative to plastic bath toys. Royal Duck is designed for kids ages 3+ years old. The classic natural rubber duck, with crown, is the perfect playtime toy for young children and adults alike! However, due to small parts that could pose a choking hazard, it is NOT recommended for children under the age of 3. Who said you couldn't read in the tub?

King ducky can't swim - Alexa's mom - Boston, ma United States
Our duck can't swim. We believe his crown is too heavy and makes him drawn. But seriously, I only bought this product because it was advertised as Phthalates or BPA free but I mean come on, swimming is a basic skill every rubber ducky should have! Since our ducky can't swim, we sing to our baby girl about the ducky at bath time. The song goes something like this: My name is king ducky, king ducky and my crown is too heavy, too heavy so I can not swim, can not swim. I come from Spanish union labor and I was pretty expensive but I still can't swim, still can't swim....

Three Ways to Get the Perfect Costume Cheap

Discount Halloween costumes sound like a great idea, but how do you actually find them? You don't want to spend a king's ransom to look right for the big night, but locating and obtaining an inexpensive costume can be a massive challenge--especially if you don't live in a large metropolitan area with dozens of Halloween stores. Fortunately, you can get your scare on without going broke.

First, avoid the big sellers. Every October, a few different costume ideas really capture the public's attention. They become mega-popular fad picks. Sellers and retailers realize it when demand starts to climb and the prices reflect it. If you want to find discount Halloween costumes, think twice before hopping on the trend bandwagon. You can usually find better deals if you avoid the hype
Second, avoid the stores. Your local retailer might have a few costumes, but it also has high overhead. They're paying for rent, utilities, employees and every other expense associated with operating a business. You pay for all of that when you purchase your costume.

If you want to get discount Halloween costumes, consider purchasing from an online vendor. These people keep their prices low because of the massive competition levels and because they can duck many of the costs usually involved in running a Halloween store. You can save some serious money by getting your gear online.
Third, avoid going crazy. I know. You've always wanted to show up for a Halloween party as a giant cowboy version of an Abominable Snowman zombie with a llama fur vest, ostrich skin boots and at least one decaying limb. Fight the urge. Bargain Halloween costumes tend to be a little less, shall we say, comprehensive.

You can still put together a real winner of a costume without going something "high concept". Simpler costumes are easier to find, cheaper, and they often have a greater impact on your "audience".

You don't need to set yourself up for a Chapter Seven bankruptcy just to get a good Halloween costume. You don't need to sacrifice quality, either. With a little smart shopping, you can find discount Halloween costumes that will be a big hit, a ton of fun, and very affordable.
