Julia Roberts Sexy Outfit and Satin Clutch at the 2010 Golden Globes

Looking at Julia Roberts, it is hard to believe that she was born in 1967. While most people will remember her for her role in Pretty Woman, for which she received an Academy Award nomination, Ms. Roberts has also played in numerous other movies. It should be sufficient just to mention names like My Best Friend's Wedding, Mystic Pizza, Notting Hill, Runaway Bride, Steel Magnolias, The Pelican Brief and Ocean's Eleven, Twelve, and last but not least Erin Brockovich. It should therefore not come as a surprise that all eyes are on Julia Roberts wherever she goes, the 2010 Golden Globes being no exception.

The American actress was spotted at the 2010 Golden Globes sporting a short vintage black dress by Yves saint Laurent. Around her neck she had a flashy jewelry piece by Van Cleef & Arpels. Judging by the size of the heavily studded gold medallion, most fashionistas would probably agree that the subdued black outfit was a good choice to match with such a statement piece that simply screamed big money! Everything else about her was also toned down, from the classic black satin clutch in her hand to the classic black patent pumps on her feet.

A black clutch is a basic accessory that almost every girl will find practical to have in her closet. It is the best companion to go with a little back dress or a long black gown. And on certain occasions, the gown or dress can even be of a different color but still match the clutch perfectly.

However, because it is quite a common and basic piece of accessory, a lot of women end up sporting almost the same style of clutch. If you want to stand out in the crowd, you may want to try for example a woven clutch. While obviously still designed as a purse to be clutched in one's hand, it will likely ensure that you do not end up with the same handbag other women at whatever party you are going to.

We are really happy to find fashion forward women like Julia Roberts in Hollywood. In addition to her upcoming movies, we look forward to seeing what fashion outfit she will come up with next.

Dress Me interaction

Dress Me is an interactive clothing collection containing some of the popular shapes in beach fashion from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Made from salvaged fabrics, displayed on kiwi-batch furniture and having the added appeal of participation, Dress Me is an arresting exhibit. Created to play with, the exhibit mimics the paper doll concept in childrens toys on a much larger three dimensional scale. The participants are free to dress the mannequin in an outfit of their own choosing and reconnect with the concept of play. This collection being historical in context, joins the viewers and participants with our social history, a direct link with what it was to be a person of those eras. Nostalgia is a powerful emotion that evokes all types of reactions, letting the public participate in Dress Me to experience their and others personal memories and journeys is the exciting result of this exhibit.

Book Review - Classic Battletech - Sword And Dragon

With the introduction of Total Warefare for Classic Battletech, a starter book would be required to introduce new comers or veterans to the system. What a better way to do so is to have a book of two top companies in services to House Davion and House Kurita respectively.

The two units in question are the McKinnon's Company of House Davion's Seventh Crucis Lancers (Fox's Teeth) and Sorenson's Sabres from House Kurita's Fifth Sword of Light. Both units are companies in size with 12 battlemechs or units. Both are also similar in nature of missions that they have been assigned in history with objective raids and recon raids the main trademark of the units.

Friction for both units are provided in the book where key moments in history of units are highlighted. For the Fox's teeth, is the death of Mark McKinnon in the Ronin War. As for the Sabres, it is the betrayal of supposed allies at the start of the Ronin War.

Followed by a introduction to the history to the respective units and briefs of key units members and their rides. Also introduced is the ever changing unit structure throughout the decades of actions ending with 3072 era. Interestingly enough is that both units have gone missing in action in 3072 time line.

Lastly in the book, is a campaign describing the actions of the two units in a 3049 setting. This is a cool campaign as it would allow players access to a short and enjoyable campagin. Rules for both units and their equipment are also described in details. One can also opt to choose to run a simple battle with rules provided in the book if a campaign is not up their alley.

A plus is the seven new variants of Mechs at the end of the book as over time, changes to configurations were made in view of new technology.

If you wish to try something new to play other than console games or PC games, one can always get this book and try Classic Battletech instead. Do get it to plunge into the exciting world of Battletech.
